Our crew forming and pouring an elevated slab at a beachfront home on the Gulf

Family-Run Concrete · Southwest Florida

Concrete done right, by folks who pick up the phone.

We're a family-run concrete crew on Florida's Gulf Coast. The company name is new — the hands behind it carry 30+ years of family concrete experience. We run every project one way: show up early, pour it right, leave it clean, and never leave a builder guessing.

Our Story

A new name — with 30+ years of family hands behind it.

Southern Custom Concrete starts the way every good pour does — with the rule James Link has worked by his whole career: if your name's on the pour, it better be done right.

Our family has been forming, pouring and finishing Florida concrete for more than thirty years. Southern Custom Concrete is that experience with our own name over the door — and it means the owner isn't a voice on a project sheet: James is the one walking your pour, answering his own phone, and standing behind the work.

We're professional because that's what your project deserves. We're friendly because that's how we were raised. Around here, those two things go together.

  • Family-run
  • Owner on every job
  • No-shortcut policy

— James Link, owner

What We Do

Every concrete scope, one crew you can count on

From the dirt to the final finish, we self-perform the concrete divisions builders need — commercial, multi-family and custom residential — one accountable sub instead of three.

Foundations & Footings

Spread footings, grade beams, stem walls, monolithic slabs and pile caps — formed and poured to engineered spec, every time.

Structural & Slab-on-Grade

Elevated decks, structural slabs and slab-on-grade with proper sub-base prep, vapor barrier and reinforcement.

Tilt-Wall & Formwork

Site-cast tilt-up panels, CIP walls and custom formwork for warehouse, retail and industrial builds.

Sitework & Flatwork

Curb & gutter, sidewalks, ADA ramps, aprons and commercial parking — graded, formed and finished clean.

Decorative & Architectural

Broom, exposed-aggregate, stamped and polished finishes — pool decks, lanais and entry drives included — when the detail calls for something special.

Concrete Repair & Restoration

Structural repair, spall remediation and tie-ins to existing construction on renovation scopes.

Helical Piles & Anchors

CHANCE® Certified Installers — helical piles, tiebacks and anchors driven to verified torque for coastal soils, elevated homes and underpinning.

Why Builders Keep Our Number

You've got forty things to worry about. Concrete shouldn't be one.

You're juggling dozens of trades, and the last thing you need is a sub who goes quiet. We're built to be the easy call on your bid list — the crew that does what it said, when it said it would.

  • Bids you can build a number on. Detailed, plan-based takeoffs with clear inclusions and exclusions — no surprises at buyout.
  • Schedules we actually keep. We staff to your critical path, and if weather or conditions shift, you hear it from us first.
  • Our own crews, start to finish. We form, pour and finish in-house — so accountability never gets lost between subs.
  • Paperwork without the chase. Licensed, insured, and quick with COIs, references and prequal documents when you need them.
  • Clean, safe jobsites. OSHA-trained supervision and sites your supers won't have to chase — safe, clean, squared away.
  • A real person on the phone. The number on this page is James's cell. You get the person running your pour, not a voicemail box.
  • We answer the callback. If something needs attention after closeout, you get the same phone number and the same crew.

How We Work

From bid invite to final broom pass

A simple, predictable process that fits the way you already run your projects.

  1. 1

    Send Us the Plans

Shoot over the drawings and bid date. We confirm scope and get you a detailed, competitive number — fast.

  2. 2

    Talk Scope, Straight

We walk inclusions, exclusions and alternates with your PM so the contract is airtight before we mobilize.

  3. 3

    Line It All Up

Layout, sub-base, steel and embeds coordinated with your supers and inspectors — and on house slabs, we walk the plumbing rough-in with your plumber before we pour.

  4. 4

    Pour Day

Trucks early, crew ready. We place, finish and cure to spec — and keep your site clean while we're at it.

  5. 5

    Inspect & Close Out

We support inspections, hand over documentation, and knock out punch items so your job keeps moving.

Where We Work

Local crews up and down the Gulf Coast

This is home. Our family has spent thirty-plus years working with the batch plants, pump outfits and inspectors along this coast — we know how Gulf Coast soils, codes and inspections actually work, and we don't lose half a day mobilizing, because we're already here.
